Our Davenport fabric is a Cotton damask, used for one of our popular ranges of stock vestments. The pattern finds its beginnings with Watts in G. F. Bodley; but its origins are in Venice, from the time of the Doge, spreading throughout Italy. Its most famous use is as the hanging in Holbein’s The Ambassadors.
